TranscriptWebinar audio transcript

The Clean Energy Solutions Center, in partnership with the United States Department of Energy (DOE), hosted this webinar on Accelerating Clean Energy Innovation in the United States. The webinar began with a brief overview of the Mission Innovation (MI) initiative, which aims to achieve clean energy technology performance breakthroughs and cost reductions. The 21 governments participating in MI represent well over 80 per cent of global public investment in clean energy research and development. Each government pledges to seek to double its clean energy innovation budget over the next five years.

In the webinar, U.S. officials describe key policies and programs aimed at accelerating clean energy innovation in the United States, including innovative models of government-industry collaboration in transitioning new technologies from the laboratory to the marketplace. The speakers’ presentations highlight, among other efforts, ARPA-E and the Clean Energy Investment Center.

The presentations were followed by an interactive question and answer session with the audience.
