Cassie Etter-Wenzel is an advisor at the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) Secretariat. Before joining the Secretariat, Cassie worked at GTI Energy as the Chief of Staff for the Senior VP of Strategy and Innovation, where she helped develop GTI’s mid-century decarbonisation vision focused on low-cost, low-carbon liquid fuels, gases and infrastructure. Prior to that, she worked at a global think-tank, World Resources Institute, as a Clean Energy Specialist for an initiative to increase public procurement of renewable energy, the American Cities Climate Challenge, and as the Outreach Specialist for the GHG Protocol for Cities. She also worked at the U.S. Department of Energy in the Office of International Affairs. Cassie holds a Masters in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the London School of Economics and an undergraduate degree in international relations and history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a U.S. national.
