Food Sector Resources and Land Use for Water

Infrastructure to support wastewater conveyance, water distribution or water management (e.g., dams) consumes significant land areas and impacts ecosystems, land use and development in these areas. As significant land holders, water and wastewater utilities have the opportunity to use landholdings to generate renewable energy.
