The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) aims to enable quality of life, competitiveness of the national economy, sustainable development, and environmental protection by issuing, developing, and adopting Saudi standard specifications for goods, products, services, and measuring devices.
Since the SASO implemented an ISO 50001 energy management system, it has achieved a total cost saving estimated at 3.7 million US dollars, equivalent to 30% of electricity consumption.
