Uttar Pradesh Solar Energy Policy: 2017

To achieve a sustainable development route that provides for advancement of economic and environmental objectives, the Government of Uttar Pradesh is taking steps to encourage generation based on renewable energy sources. It has a solar energy potential of 22,300 megawatts (MW) of capacity, which it intends to harness to meet the 10,700-MW generation target fixed by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, including 4,300 MW of fixed for solar rooftop projects.
