Monitoring and Evaluation of the Impact of Renewable Energy Programmes: A Toolkit for Applying Participatory Approaches

This toolkit provides guidance on monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes, M&E system design, and the use of participatory tools and methods for governments, communities, and other organizations. The toolkit focuses on isolated off-grid systems (micro-hydropower, wind, solar) and other options such as improved cookstoves and wind and solar for water pumping. Methods outlined are qualitative and take into account social equity concerns.
