Mexico Seeking a Low-Carbon Growth Path

This paper describes Mexico’s comprehensive strategy to cut emissions and reduce energy use while also potentially putting the Mexican economy on a low-carbon growth path. Programs will encourage high-emitting industries such as cement, steel, glass, and metals to adopt new technologies. Clean Technology Fund financing will be used to offer financial benefits and incentives to consumers to buy energy efficient appliances and equipment.
