Mapping of Renewable Energy Projects with Regional Impact

The objective of this study was to provide supporting evidence for the role of renewable energy in facilitating more stable and resilient energy grids, and bolstering energy markets and energy security through cross-border collaboration. This study highlights the gaps in cross-border collaboration within the EU, promoting increased collaborative efforts and projects to fulfil the EU’s energy and climate goals. The study finds evidence to address identified challenges and maximizes opportunities for collaboration. Finally, the report highlights gaps and opportunities in financial instruments and support and stakeholder engagement as related to energy and climate targets.
