Leveraging Energy Storage for Distribution Services: How Maximizing Revenue Streams Can Lower Costs to Electricity Customers

This paper explores regulatory flexibility in consideration of the ownership of distribution of Non-Wires Alternatives (NWAs). Energy Storage Canada assesses and explores a customer-centric approach that serves to minimize the cost of distribution services, maximize the value of other grid services (i.e., value-stack), and encourage the active participation of Least Developed Country (LDC) customers while reducing and mitigating their risks.
