These interactive calculators were designed to educate consumers about the impacts of their personal energy use. The calculators take into account transportation energy use; residential electricity use; residential natural gas use; home fuel oil use; the fuel type used by the consumer’s utilty; a comparison of gas, electric, and solar water heating; and an explanation of various units of energy.
