This resource is the website of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE), which develops standards for both its members and others professionally concerned with refrigeration processes and the design and maintenance of indoor environments. ASHRAE writes standards for the purpose of establishing consensus for: 1) methods of testing for use in commerce and 2) performance criteria for use as facilitators with which to guide the industry.
