A Compendium of Utility-Sponsored Energy-Efficient Rebate Programs

This resource evaluates utility rebate programs, sponsored by 59 utilities that provide rewards for the purchase of energy-efficient appliances and lighting products, space-conditioning systems, and motors. The majority of programs targeted consumers, but dealers were also provided with rebates in some programs. The detailed assessment analysed the programs to identify efficiency levels, rebate amounts, funding levels, energy and peak power savings, and the cost of peak demand reduction.
