CEM Welcomes Poland as the Newest Member
3 June 2021 --- Poland joins the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM), a leading global platform for accelerating clean energy transitions. Confirmed by His Excellency, the Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland, Michał Kurtyka, and all CEM Ministers, the news was announced at the CEM’s 12th annual meeting (CEM12), hosted virtually by Chile.
Dan Dorner, Head of the CEM Secretariat said, “We are proud to have Poland as a member of the Clean Energy Ministerial, and we are excited to continue deepening our work together to accelerate clean energy transitions. The CEM exists to facilitate international clean energy collaboration to the benefit of each, and for the good of all. The entire CEM community welcomes Poland and looks forward to working together to accelerate the scale, pace, and equitable integration of clean energy transitions in this critical decade.”
Poland is already an active participant in CEM initiatives on nuclear power (the CEM Nuclear Innovation Clean Energy Future Initiative) and electric vehicles (the CEM Electric Vehicles Initiative).
