Sarbojit is Manager of Partnerships at the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) Secretariat. He coordinates CEM activities focused on aspects of energy demand and end-use sectors and on energy access. Some of the initiatives he is involved with are the Electric Vehicles Initiative (EVI), Super-Efficient Equipment and Appliance Deployment (SEAD) Initiative and Global-LEAP, among others. Before joining the Secretariat, Sarbojit worked at Government of India’s think-tank, NITI Aayog where he managed the program to assist Indian states to draw up their Renewable Energy Roadmaps in accordance with India’s 175GW renewable energy targets by 2022 and also helped in framing the transport section of India’s 15 year vision document. He has earlier been Fellow at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) we he led the Centre for Research in Sustainable Urban Development and Transport Systems as its Area Convenor working on various issues of transportation and energy policies. Sarbojit holds an Masters in Economics from IGIDR, Mumbai and is an Indian National.
