Head of CEM Secretariat explores global shift to electric mobility at Global Environment Facility’s assembly
The Head of the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) Secretariat, Christian Zinglersen, will moderate a side event exploring the global shift to electric mobility as part of the Global Environment Facility’s (GEF) sixth Assembly taking place in Vietnam on June 26, 2018. This event is being organized by the International Energy Agency and UN Environment and will highlight the new global programme on electric mobility being launched by GEF.
The CEM’s Electric Vehicles Initiative (EVI) has already established itself as a leading program on electric vehicles globally and will be showcased at this event, demonstrating the increasingly diversified partnerships of the CEM, including with key multilateral funding institutions like GEF.
Panelists will discuss the current state of electric mobility worldwide, outline opportunities under the newly-launched GEF-7 Electric Mobility programme, and respond to questions about how countries can get involved.
