An exhibition showcasing innovative products and services that can accelerate the global deployment of clean energy was a unique public feature of the fourth Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM4). The government of India hosted the Innovation Showcase Pavilion on 16–18 April 2013 in a venue alongside the Ministerial meeting.
The Pavilion featured 45 companies from around the world that are at the forefront of the clean energy revolution in technology sectors such as solar, smart and mini-grid, energy storage, lighting, electric vehicles, and energy efficiency and finance.
On the evening of 16 April, South Africa Minister of Energy Elizabeth Dipuo Peters, U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu and India Planning Commission Deputy Commissioner Montek Singh Ahluwalia were among the dignitaries on hand to inaugurate the Pavilion.
The Pavilion was open to the public starting on the evening of 16 April and ran through 18 April.
